A quarter-turn lock is a locking mechanism used to secure doors, windows, cabinets and other movable elements. It typically consists of a rotating metal rod or bolt that is inserted into a bracket. By turning the lock, the bolt is moved either horizontally or vertically to reach a locking position. A quarter-turn lock can be operated manually to fasten the swivelling element in a closed position. In this locking position, the quarter-turn lock locks the movable element securely. Quarter-turn locks offer a simple and effective way of controlling access to certain areas and ensuring security.
The locks serve as a versatile locking element that can be used in various areas. In the industrial sector, they are often used on machine doors or switch cabinets to ensure security and access control. They are also widely used on assembly and logistics vehicles because in addition to their secure locking function, they are also known for their robustness and reliability.
